Group Requirements: Minimum of 10 and maximum of 60 participants. (You may book for a smaller group size but need to purchase a minimum of 10 tickets. For groups of more than 15 participants, the $200 cleaning surcharge is waived.)
Time: Offered daily. We’re flexible on the start time – beginning the class anytime between 11 am and 7 pm.
Duration: 2 hours of deliciousness and fun!

Food: Your choice of cuisine options listed below. Enough food for lunch or dinner.
Pricing: Classes start at $139 per person which includes all the food your team prepares (enough for lunch or dinner). There is a $200 cleaning surcharge. The surcharge is waived for groups of more than 15 participants.
Add Ons: You can add additional features to your event depending on your team’s needs:
- Additional food/catering in addition to the foods your team prepares. We will provide you with options to choose from. Can be appetizers and/or dessert. We can accommodate dietary restrictions ($15 per person)
- We can purchase the alcohol, soft drinks, water, ice, etc and bring it to the venue for you. Simply let us know what you want to drink and your budget. There is a 15% provider surcharge on the cost of the drinks if you choose this add-on. BYOB is an alternative option in select cases.
Rescheduling Policy: You may reschedule for any reason. However, there are rebooking fees if you don’t let us know by a certain time frame —
- 30 days before the event start time – reschedule with no charges
- Between 30 days and 7 days before event start time and there is a $350 surcharge
- Let us know less than 7 days before the event start time and there is a $700 surcharge

GROUP COOKING CLASSES FOR TEAMS IN DC
We offer the best large-group cooking classes in the DC metro area. Our group cooking classes are the perfect hands-on, interactive team-building activity. Your team will collaborate to make a flavorful dish that you can then enjoy for a full lunch or dinner.
A professional chef will walk your team step-by-step through the collaborative, fun process of preparing a meal. We will handle some of the prep in advance, so your team can focus on cooking a delicious dish.

We do things a little different from other cooking class companies. First, our cooking classes take place in a state-of-the-art cooking space. We operate in multiple locations, so you can select a space near your office. Some other companies only come to your office. We believe team-building is about taking a break from the office environment. (But if you prefer we come to you, we can do that too).
We’ve been producing first rate team-building activities centered around food for nearly 15 years. So we know what it takes to pull off an amazing food experience. Your team will bond in ways they can’t in the office or by video. Plus, our chefs are second to none!
Meet Your Chef
Famous for his DC restaurants Toki Underground, Maketto, and Providencia, Chef Erik Bruner-Yang creates food experiences that celebrate the interplay between community, culture and progress. Born in Taiwan and raised in the United States, Bruner-Yang has been credited for introducing D.C. to ramen in 2011 with Toki Underground. He is a multi-James Beard finalist, and his restaurants have received numerous accolades, from Bon Appetit magazine’s 50 Best New Restaurants 2018; to Thrillist’s Best New Restaurants 2018 and RAMMY’s Best New Restaurant 2019 for Spoken English.

Our team-building cooking events can be set up as classes or competitions. Our signature cooking classes give you a chance to learn and bond in a collaborative environment. Or choose our cooking competitions to add a fun competitive twist to your experience.
All of the class options come with enough food for a hearty lunch or dinner.

In our cooking class, your group will learn how to make the cuisine of your choice. Our classes are both hands-on and informative. It’s an excellent way to bond with friends, family, or co-workers.
The event is designed to be a highly interactive experience that will be fun for both beginners and more advanced cooks. Our acclaimed chefs are there to help you as much as you would like throughout the class. We do some prep work in advance, so you can focus on the fun parts!

Our cooking competitions are run similarly to our cooking classes but with a fun yet relaxed competitive component.
Upon arrival, you will be split up into teams that will compete to make the perfect dish in your cuisine of choice. Our chef will be the judge. You will be judged as a team on presentation, taste, and timing. The winning team will receive a bonus tasting and bragging rights.

The Iron Chef-Style Cooking Competition is slightly different from the cooking class and cooking competition. Instead of choosing the cuisine you want to make in advance, you will be given a pantry full of thematically related ingredients and your team will decide on the spot what dish to prepare.
Our chef will act as judge and choose the winning team based on culinary criteria familiar from TV. The winning team will receive a bonus tasting. All the teams will enjoy eating the ‘fruits’ of their labor.
*Included in all cooking class options: A charcuterie and crudite platter as a welcome snack, an expert chef with support staff, enough food for lunch/dinner, BYOB or we can bring the alcohol to the space for you. Loads of creativity, food and fun!
WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR SIDEWALK TEAM BUILDING COOKING CLASS
- Arrive at our cooking space for a 2-hour cooking event
- You’re greeted by our professional Chef and his/her staff
- Snack on a beautiful crudite and charcuterie appetizer. Talk about a warm welcome!
- Your chef will go over the basics and give demonstrations of important techniques.
- With guidance from the chef, you will collaborate with your co-workers for a hands-on experience. Your team will cook a delicious dish from scratch!
- Enjoy a cocktail (or mocktail) as you learn
- Sit down with your team to feast on the outstanding meal that you’ve cooked with the help of our expert chef.
- Continue chatting with coworkers as you nosh on a delectable dessert.
