We’re just going to say it: Las Vegas gets a bad rap. Nicknames like “Sin City” or “The City of Lost Wages” make it seem like a night on the town means nothing but bad decisions and regrettable actions. Thankfully, that’s inaccurate. There are plenty of fun times to be had in the city, and you can even take part in some group activities – so long as you know where to look. That’s why we’re going to outline twelve fun Team Building Activities in Las Vegas, no sin involved.

  1. Sidewalk Food Tour

First on our list of recommendations is the Sidewalk Food Tours of Las Vegas – which offer the best downtown Las Vegas tours you could take a team on. We’re talking a complete greatest hits bonanza – including chicken satays, Hawaiian ice cream, scrumptious tacos, and more. Best of all, these food tours cater to the dietary restrictions of your team. This is a great way to combine learning about Las Vegas culture and history with treating yourself to some explosive flavor.

     2. Sidewalk Team Building Cooking Class

Alternatively, you can flip the script on the above suggestion by bringing the food to you and cooking instead of having it cooked. Sidewalk Food Tours offers interactive cooking experiences where you and your team can be connected with a world-renowned professional chef. This enables your team to bring a customized cooking experience to your venue of choice.

This hour and a half professionally led class includes icebreakers, challenges, and trivia in addition to teaching you to serve up some delicious food. You can even choose from different heritage-inspired cooking classes, such as Latin American, Hispanic, or Afro-Caribbean cuisine.

     3. Meow Wolf Las Vegas’ Omega Mart

Look. We know full well it’s kind of weird to recommend going to a market as a Team Building exercise. But Omega Mart isn’t just a market. In fact, it’s not exactly a market at all. Instead, it’s an interactive art exhibit, or alternate reality game, where you and your team can navigate through a market from another world and buy strange, custom products like mammoth chunks and organic moth milk. It’s strange, surreal, and the exact sort of “out there” experience that can bond a team together.

     4. Hiking

While our previous suggestion was more about visiting another world, this one’s about getting to know ours a little bit better. Las Vegas has plenty of fun day hike locations to provide you with views, physical activity, and a sense of being one with nature. Red Rock Canyon is one of our favs! Get to know Las Vegas outside of the infamous casinos.

     5. Shark Reef Aquarium

I mean, do we really have to say more than “shark reef aquarium?” If you and your team love sharks – or other exotic aquatic animals, such as sea turtles or stingrays, you can’t go wrong with visiting this venue. You can even buy tickets to the special showings such as their shark feedings or sea turtle feedings.

     6. Escape Rooms

Escape rooms are almost always fun with teams. Gather your team and work together to solve hints and fight your way out of a themed puzzle. Las Vegas has some particularly fun escape rooms, including some with set design, sound, lighting, and other effects to make you feel like you’ve been truly transported.

     7. Topgolf

The fun thing about Topgolf is that it’s a top spot to visit even if you’re not a huge fan of golf. Topgolf Las Vegas is a sports bar and restaurant in addition to providing golf lessons, private event spaces, and even two pools. You pretty much can’t go wrong with scheduling a fun night for your team here, even if you have one or two complete golf haters in the bunch.

     9. Dig This Las Vegas

Now here’s something that your team should really dig. Dig this Las Vegas provides a specific Team Building opportunity where you can take a group of between 4 to 100 people onto a specialized construction site. Take a spin on the machinery and do pretty much anything, within reason. If anyone on your team has ever noticed an abandoned machine at a construction site, scratched their chin, and thought “hmm…” you’ll want to check this out.

     10. Archery

Archery is an exciting and underrated activity that you can find easily enough in Las Vegas. Archery venues are professionally stocked and have trainers on hand to walk you and your team through some of the basics of operating bows. This is fun for the whole team and even allows you to engage in some friendly speed and/or accuracy competition.

     11. Pinball Hall of Fame

     12. Mob Museum

You and your team are surely all law-abiding, but that doesn’t mean you can’t indulge in the lives of those who aren’t. The Mob Museum is a national museum of organized crime and law enforcement that really does a deep dive into organized crime’s history and impact on American society. This means hundreds of artifacts and immersive exhibits you and your team can explore to get a glimpse at a darker side of society.

And there we are: 12 fun team building activities in Las Vegas that have nothing to do with its unfair reputation. Hopefully, one or more of these activities suits the taste of you and your team members.
