We are very excited to announce the launch of our new Chinatown Food Tour in San Francisco!  We now have the opportunity to share not only the tastes of our favorite dim sum and Peking duck, but also the fascinating history and architecture of the oldest Chinatown in the US. Did you know that the San Francisco Chinatown is the largest Chinese community outside of Asia? The San Francisco Planning Department declared it “the most densely populated urban area west of Manhattan.” This means endless opportunities to discover new and delicious things down the winding alleys and in the shops scattered throughout the streets.   We hope you have an opportunity to check out this awesome addition to the Sidewalk Tours family.

Join us on our food tours in Wicker Park and River North and you will taste a lot of amazing foods. From deep dish pizza at Lou Malnati’s to Mexican fare at Xoco in River North; and tacos from Antique Taco to The famous Harold’s Fried Chicken there are savory and sweet delights for everyone. So, let us tease your tastebuds as we eat our way through these delicious neighborhoods.

Our walking food tours in the neighborhoods of Wicker Park and River North are designed to teach you about the history, culture and architecture of the Windy City, as well as keep your belly full of the local fare. We eat delectable foods from six unique food establishments that tell a story about the neighborhood. We visit ethnic eateries, mom-and-pop shops and restaurants from some of the best chefs in Chicago. Our food tours are about 2 miles in length and we walk at a nice leisurely pace, all the while “noshing” on Chicago staples like deep-dish pizza and hotdogs, as well as gourmet soups from award-winning celebrity chef Rick Bayless.
