We offer the best large-group cooking classes in the city. Our group cooking classes are the ideal hands-on, interactive team-building activity. Your team will collaborate to make a mouth-watering dish that will be enjoyed for a full lunch or dinner.
Your professional chef will walk your team step-by-step through the collaborative, fun process of preparing a meal. We will handle some prep in advance, so your team can focus on cooking a delicious dish. Come and eat with us! Your tastebuds will thank you later.
Why Choose Our Team-Building Cooking Classes?
We do things differently than other cooking class companies. First, our cooking classes take place in a state-of-the-art cooking space. We operate in multiple locations, so you can select a space close to your office. Some other companies only come to your office. We believe Team-building is about taking a break from the office environment (though if you prefer we come to you, we can do that).
We’ve been creating team-building activities for 14 years. We live and breathe team-building. We know what it takes to pull off an amazing food experience. Your team will bond in ways they can’t in the office or over a video call. And we don’t want to toot our own horn, but our chefs are second to none!
Meet Your Chef
Chef Rob Ritchie is a James Beard Award winning chef with over 20 years of professional experience. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, he currently works as an Executive Chef for the Canadian Consulate General in Manhattan. He has many years or experience in kitchens around New York cooking a variety of cuisines from around the world. He loves teaching people to cook all types of cuisine from French haute cuisine and continental to globally inspired street food and fine dining. Rob prides himself on being a very friendly, helpful and hard working Chef willing to go to any lengths to make your class a special one.

In our cooking class, your group will learn how to make the cuisine of your choice. Our classes are hands-on and interactive. It’s the ideal activity to bond with friends, family, or co-workers.
The class is designed to be fun and informative for both beginners and more advanced cooks. Our expert chefs are there to help you as much as you would like throughout the cooking process. We do the prep work in advance, so you can focus on the fun part, cooking and connecting with your people.

Our cooking competitions are run similarly to our cooking classes but with a fun and relaxed competitive component.
Upon arrival, you will be split up into teams that will compete to make the perfect dish in your cuisine of choice. Everyone will make their food but will collaborate as a team to help each other cook a scrumptious dish.
Our chef will be the judge. You will be judged as a team on presentation, taste, and timing. The winning team will receive a bonus tasting and bragging rights.

The Iron Chef-Style Cooking Competition is slightly different from the cooking class and cooking competition. Instead of choosing the cuisine you want to make in advance, you will be given a pantry full of ingredients and your team will decide on the spot what dish to prepare.
Our chef will act as judge and choose the winning team based on culinary criteria familiar from TV. The winning team will receive a bonus tasting. All the teams will enjoy eating the ‘fruits’ of their labor.
*Included in all cooking class options: A charcuterie and crudite platter as a welcome snack, an expert chef with support staff, enough food for lunch/dinner, BYOB or we can bring the alcohol to the space for you. Loads of creativity, food and fun!
What to Expect on Your Sidewalk Team Building Cooking Class
- Arrive at our cooking space for a 2-hour cooking event
- You’re greeted by our professional Chef and his/her staff

- Your chef will explain how it all works and give a knife skills demo
